Housing systems
Chairman: Professor dr. P.J. Boelhouwer
An extension of the Van Leeuwenhoek Chair in Housing Systems, which is occupied by the scientific director of OTB, this flexible chair addresses system issues and management issues on the level of the housing policy and the housing market. Approaching matters from the point of view of public administration, the chair focuses on housing systems (which it compares internationally), the links between market developments and government policies, and the relationship between public housing policies, housing, and housing preferences at household level. Theory, methods and techniques are developed at various levels of aggregation, with a particular stress on general housing theories, housing economics, and general behaviour theories.
This part-time chair and the special chair Housing Quality and Process Innovation represent the role played by the Faculty of Architecture as a constituent faculty in the OTB.
